Loss of power

I was wheeling this weekend and it happened a couple of times both when I was going up a pretty steep rocky hill and when I needed the gas it wast there. Like it was out of gas. I took my foot of the pedal and pressed again and it had power. I'm thinking fuel pump? Has this happened to anyone else.imhave a 2013 jk sport unlimited
