Lighting Question

I’m wanting to run 5 51w lights on a light bar and just wanted to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. I bought a 14g harness that is rated for 300+w, 40a relay, and a 25a fuse. Is this okay to run all the lights off the single harness since it is only 255w and 21.5 amps?

amps = watts ÷ volts

Your relay and fuse should be fine, but according to a wire size chart, you should be running 8g wire for 15-20' length. Not sure how long your run is, so you may want to check that. You might get away with 10g or 12g if it's shorter, but 14g is pretty small for that much load.
