Let's see some JKU's with 2.5" lift and 33's

Just bought a 2015 bone stock jku and I can't take looking at these tiny wheels and stock lift anymore. Been tossing back and forth between a couple different lift kits and I think I've settled on a 2.5 in rock krawler stock mod kit and I'm thinking about pairing it with some 285/70R17 nitro terra grapplers. being that it is my daily and don't have a need to justify MT. Just looking for a good daily setup that I can hit the trails on the weekend with. Anyone ever ran this setup or part of it? Looking for some feedback with it. Mainly the lift kit itself.

Also, I'd like to see everyone else's rig that's running 2.5" of lift and 33's. Kinda worried that the tires might look too small but I'm not sure[emoji28]

Man these look sick! Not too much, but still solid trail and daily abilities. [emoji6]

More of an impulse buy than anything else, I found a solid deal for 5, 32X10.5-R17 (off a 2015 Willy's) for $350 and with less than 5,000 miles on them. Might do a leveling kit for the time being until I fully commit to a lift and wheel setup. But I'm content for the most part with these.

On a side note, what's the easiest way to set the TPMS sesosr back to these? Do most people here have the calibration tool or did you take it to a shop? If so how much did a shop charge? I was looking a just committing to the super chips flash pack so I have the option for different tunes in addition to just recalibrating it. I know it's a bit more than the calibration tool, but I think it might be worth it.

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but this is my wife's jku with no lift and 33s (285/70R17). Fenders are trimmed. No rubbing.

If the tires/wheels came with TPMS, it should reset on their own. If I remember correctly, they have to be from a 2012 or newer to work on your JKU.

I hope they'll end up resetting. The wheels are off a 2015 and my Jeep is a 2015. At the same time, I've drove about 75ish miles since I've put them on. Do you remember how long it should take?

Honestly, I haven't checked on the new ones. I know that when I bring up my tire pressure screen on my dash, it just reads all lines where the tire pressures should be showing.

This is back a couple years when it had 2.5 inch RK lift and 33 Nitto's, very capable off roader and great daily driver for the wife but limited on the rough stuff on high centering with the longer wheel base on tall ledges.

Went to 4 inch EVO enforcer and 37's... No more problems at Moab on the higher ledges and taller rocks. Great four wheeler a little less desirable as a DD for the wife but she still loves it!

Above is with stock fenders and below is with Bushwacker fenders.

Nice! Which RK kit did you have? Was it the stock mod?

The one down side was the 33's will rub the stock fender liners during maximum flexing and it makes that plastic chatter sound as the tire knobs hit the plastic fender supports, which my wife couldn't stand and had to switch to new fenders (or could have 'cut' the stock ones).
