Leak near oil pan

I was going to install a oil pan skid plate today when I noticed some kind of leak. Should I not install the skid plate before taking it to the dealer to check it out? I don’t wanna get blamed for it right?

What year?
Is it coming from between the motor and transmission?
Check the top of motor behind oil filter, in the valley. Common spot for leaks.

We have had two jeeps from our local club that have had the rear main seals replaced under warranty in the last 3 months. One is a 2015 and the other I believe was a 2014.

I had 3 rear mains changed on my2015. When I had about 20k on it.

I’ve been dealing with an oil leak in the same spot for the last month and a half. Dealership replaced the oil filter housing. Then the rear main seal. Now they ordered a new engine case because they feel the case is cracked.

2016 Rubicon 16,500 Miles.

I saw your thread shortly after posting mine. Why have you not tried to lemon law it? Do you lose all your mods or how does that work?

I think the lemon law applies to the same repair 3 times. In my case,’something different has been repaired each time.

I just took it in to the dealer today so nothing yet but it sounded like he was going to void my warranty. He said it looks like you off road this thing way too much and that may be the cause.
