Located north of Anchorage is the Knik glacier. It was a fun trip, nothing too extreme, except all the scenery to take in!:beer:

If you ever get to Alaska the trail is a must, deep water crossings, tight trails, and a long day of wheeling. I have a million pictures, just a pain posting from my phone.
As for temp, when I went it was 40F during the day, but at night on the way back it was about 15F.... Most people do the trail in the dead of winter, and that can be as cold as -20F from what I've heard.

A few of them were to the top of my 33in tires... one was to the base of the door, and my feet got wet! after going through that, we found another way since the other jeep wasn't lifted, and 31's. The water crossings vary on temp, tide, and glacier melt. There was a lot of getting out and poking with my shovel.

Thinking they prolly do it dead of winter to avoid the water since it would be froze over and a non issue at that point .... love the shots
