KC lite bar 2024 Rubicon 392 help/question

I purchased the KC bar for the pro 6. It's pretty simple 3 bolts. However after install I have a large gap. Is this normal for the 392? I look at other 392 (not 2024) and it sits flat against it. I'm worried stuff like dirt, mud, bugs and the like will get in there and cause havoc.20241030_162916.jpg

KC says "It's in the tolerance spec" but I can fit a finger under it? The silicone pad doesn't even touch the pannel...Thoughts?

wow, that's a huge gap, a canyon!!
I'll do an even trade for my 2018 JLU, bet it'll lay flat against it and I'll take that non-fit 392

Did they accidentally send you the Mojave bracket? I haven’t compared the two but would be my first question.
They list it as the same? "for 21+ Jeep Wrangler 392 or Gladiator Mojave"
They actually sent me 2 sets look and fit the same.
I sent them a lot of photos. And I don't get how that is in "spec"?

I’m pretty sure they were separate part numbers BUT they may have changed to make it “easier” having just one. But that fitment definitely isn’t good. I’ll see what I can find out as well.

That looks terrible.

The 392 is completely different. Looks like they sent you a non 392 or an earlier year model version.

Seriously dude thank you so much. I just do not understand. At first when I contacted KC about it they said it was a manufacturing error. Now they are saying "After conversing with PD, it looks like that gap is within the leeway window/threshold that is tolerable and therefore does not fall into the warranty."
So because I attached the pads they are saying tuff luck you own them. I have never has any issues with KC before. I would add the back par that is in line with the Door is flat and touching. So that is a making a actual pocket that will trap and collect stuff.

KC customer service that I have dealt with has always been helpful, it's a shame they're not backing up their product.

It seems that an employee at KC should be fired, unless the company is prepared to tarnish it's reputation.

I really awesome support guys, thank you again. I thought I was going crazy and I was being too picky about it on my Jeep. and it was okay. I looked and here are some 392's with the "same" bar.

I think you mean the Pad that you stick to it?
It is a dense pretty hard like silicone? but it doesn't even touch the body besides the bottom
I actually took it to a local Shop.
1st they were surprised KC was acting this way. The summery was it doesn't fit we can't make it fit and we wouldn't put this on our Jeep.

For the price I would think KC would want to help . I wouldn’t want that on my Jeep

is the mount itself steel, aluminum?
my guess is @Bob was going to suggest bending it if possible, to fit better

OHHH it is a vey heavy steel. The shop I took it to said they can't bend it.... well they would have to bend it 3 places, but it would ruin the coating

That sucks man, big fan of KC but that’s not right and definitely isn’t how I’d want to run that on my Jeep.

I have found that there is all new part numbers for every model of 2024 build year on a vast majority of parts. This might be one of those cases sadly
