Just Got Insanely Excited

So for most of you, this probably isn't even that cool of news. But... I just did all the math and realized that looking at my anticipated starting salary out of college, buying a brand new Wrangler will be perfectly reasonable. And of course have money left over for the necessary mods. I'm ready to run down the streets of Chicago and hug every person I see. This is the best news of the century. I cannot wait.

LOL! Congrats on your future anticipated salary!

I say the same thing to everyone just starting out: Don't forget to factor in your retirement savings. At a minimum you should contribute whatever necessary to get the maximum employer match and look to max out the contributions (currently 17.5K per year) as soon as possible (e.g. increasing you savings amount automatically each year). Trust me on this. ;)

That said, go out and enjoy the fruits of all your hard work.

In other words. Jeep responsibly! Lol

Really I was just planing on the government to take care of me. While I drive around in my $50k moded wrangler. This is great advice it really is amazing how the years fly by and you just can't put enough away for your future. I am a little over half way to retirement and it scares the shot out of me to not be ready financially.

10K today is worth about 44K in 30 years at 5% annually. It's much better to save when you are young. Plus you never miss it, if you don't ever spend it. :thumb:

But who wants to hear that nonsense! Go out and buy some mods!!!:rock:

Scary isn't it? Add kids to the mix and all calculations go out the window. I started fairly young but I'll probably still die of old age behind the closed door of my office. My only hope is that they find my body before too long. :cheesy:
