My Adventure Jeep started as a 2016 JKU Sport in Granite Crystal. First mod was at 7 miles. I traded the stock SRA’s for 255 75 R17 Duratracs. These tires have been very good on the street, old logging roads, and snow. I added a roof rack, lights, and some interior mods. I’ll get this updated with some pics soon.

Roof Rack

I used the Teraflex Nebo rails as a base for my roof rack. The rails are pretty stout. They allow the hard top to be removed easily. I went through McMasterCarr for 10 series extruded aluminum for the cross bars. They also have a wide assortment of mounting brackets. I added 10w led side and rear lights to the rack for area lighting when setting up camp. The rear led is on a relay that triggers manually or when the reverse lights go on. There are three fork mount attachments for bikes that I found on Amazon. There are six Front Runner eye bolts on the edges of the cross bars. The last item at this time are two 1/2x20 bolts to mount my hi lift jack.

Interior Mods

I added a rear seat recline kit for my kiddos. This was an aluminum version from Amazon. Easy install and well worth it for road trips. A Pioneer 2800BS receiver replaced the factory base model unit. The touch screen is a nice feature, and the Bluetooth worked well until the last iPhone update caused connection problems. A Ram mount to the left of my steering wheel holds my phone. Another one runs off of the grab bar by the glove box for my iPad running Gaia Maps for navigation. A Yaesu 8900FT gives me some added comms on 70cm and 2m. The face plate is mounted over my mirror. The receiver is on a quick detach Safariland buckle under the passenger front seat. Final mod is a rear shelf I made from some 10 series t slot extruded bars from McMasterCarr. This is going to be replaced by something similar to the ORV Stealth Shelf. I need a platform for my new critter.

I just noticed that they don't fall forward when they fall asleep. They seem more comfortable. We've done 4 road trips with it so far and we usually drive through the night. Here's a write-up on it:
