So I’ve had my 2014 JKU for 2 years. Got it with 26k on it and now has 48k. It’s had a ticking noise since I’ve owned it. Never gotten worse or better, no codes. Only really noticeable if you put your head next to the front right tire after the engine warms up. I don’t hear it cold.
Up above in the engine compartment all you really hear are the injectors firing. No tick like many have posted in videos. So I’ve kinda just ignored it. But the power train warranty goes away mid May and after recording it with my iPhone I’m not loving the sound. I always figured it was injectors or something normal. Not I’m wondering...so what does this sound like to you guys? Lifter tick? Exhaust? Normal? Not so much? Recorded behind the front right tire up near the engine/exhaust manifold. Thanks
