Hi, I need to replace my 2007 JK Rubicon 4-door transmission 6-speed. I have done a ton of research but cannot get a straight answer if the 2011 part 52104741AB/RL104741AB will fit in my vehicle. I have had a transmission shop who was trying to sell me one tell me it will but anywhere I look online only shows the part number for a 2011.
Also are there different transmissions for different models of JK ie basic models vs the Rubicons or are they all the same?
Mopar changes part numbers all the time and if the computer doesn't spell it out the parts at Jeep don't have a clue. I have checked all the diagrams on factorychryslerparts.com and it looks like the same front and rear case on mine and the 2011, input and output shaft, etc. Everything looks to be the same it just seems there was a new part number in 2011. I have a line on a 2011 with 20,000 kms for a great deal so If I can get that instead of an older one with 50000+ kms I would much rather do it.
Any insight from someone with knowledge around this would be much appreciated.
Jeff
