Jeep sounds great, but that's not a good thing.

New problem that's popped up since my weekend trip. My Jeep sounds like a wwii biplane which would be awesome except it's definitely not supposed to sound like that. I just replaced the exhaust manifold less than 200 miles ago so it isn't that but I am fairly sure my muffler is no longer attached after bottoming out on some fallen trees over the weekend. Any thoughts? It's the 2.5l 4 cylinder that came stock with my 97 TJ.

I'm saving for a 5.3 so I might tackweld and wrap the hell out of it until I decide what system I'm going to run out of the motor. I might even patch it into a straight pipe as a temporary fix until I finish my motor work in July.

Found a cheap solution. 30 dollar thrush muffler and a 5 dollar 90 degree bent piece. It'll dump before my axle and save me the headache of a bad repair

Find a muffler slightly longer than thr ine u broke cut it in and keep the tailpipe out thr back... just my .02
