Is this crack a problem?

I've been fighting the GASCAP and 0456 codes forever. Occasionally the bigger leak code, and once a evap blockage code. Already replaced the has cap with a new Mopar. All lines look good. Today, I found what appears to be an innocent crack, but I don't know. What do you think?

yea..that would be a code tosser

Seal it up with some 2 part epoxy and see if it fixes the code issue. Cheap fix if it works.

Yeap seal it with liquid metal they sell it in Home Depot

I used that stuff for mounting my cheapo mesh grill inserts and its lasted forever. Not one zip tie block has fallen off.

i am pretty sure MTG used it to fix his evap can as well...

Also taped the vacuum line by the battery. It looked fine, but why not?

Disconnected battery, everything is clear, but for how long. I'll try loctite too

I feel for you. I"ve been fighting that code for over a year. I gave up for a few months back but now I'm bound and determined to get it fixed. I've already replaced the line that gets corroded by battery, purchased OEM gascap and replaced, and just recently replaced the leak detection pump (little white box attaches to the evap can). Next up, I might just replace the whole evap can, it's only about $50. I hope yours is fixed....it drives me nuts to see that glowing little orange light on the dash all the time
