I it Patton

Well I be had my Jeep for about 8 months and absolutely love it. Being new to this community I though that I would start a build thread for my Jeep to chronicle its growth and development. From the beginning- My 2015 JK Willys Wheeler was a graduation gift from my grandparents who promised to set me up with a reliable vehicle of my choice when I graduated college. I custom ordered my JK in Anvil, 6spd, WW package, softop only, trailer tow and AC July 18th and it was delivered August 20th. Since I have added a Teraflex 1.5 leveling kit and picked up a poison Spyder bombshell for my D30. It has been off road several times and will receive a new bumper this summer! This will be slow and a lot of homemade do it yourself kinda stuff but I try to piddle every weekend on it. Also so pics may filter in of my GFs JKU as we are building it and my 68 C10 bc everyone likes pictures of old trucks right?

Trail pics

1st is my Jeep (Patton) on some local trails at Rush Off Road near Ashald KY. Really mild stuff bc it's still my DD but still had a lot of fun.
2nd-not really a trail but the road to my house. Bad winter storm had a tree across the road so I had to drag it outt the way. Not pictured is a Jeep Compass that tried to hit the ditch and go around that is hung up 10 way to Sunday.
3rd is my girlfriends JKU doing alittle flexing on a rock in Mammoth Cave National Park. If you've never been I highly suggest checking out this national park.

I love seeing more two doors. Two doors can be a force to be reckoned with when built right. Can't wait to see what you have in mind.

Can't wait to see what you do with your jeep. I have it's twin. An anvil, 2door WW. Congrats on the jeep and graduation.

Thanks for the kind words yall. My jeep def makes all those biology classes worth it. This build will be slow but I have a direction I want to in for it and that is RELIABLITY on the trail. skids, armor, effecient self recovery, lockers etc. gunna be working on this Jeep and the ol lady's Jeep (Overland Expedition theme) so any advice or opinions will be warmly welcomed

Front bumper/rubi rock rail mod/trans skid

So I have decided on a crawler conceptz stubby winch as my bid addition for the summer. More lift to come but I want to wait for my KM2s to wear out first. Anyone have any experience with the fit of these bumpers.
Also I want to beef up some protection stuff, thinking about added some DOM on my rubi rails to add some protection on the trail? Can this be done without breaking the bank? Pros? Cons?
Need some advice on a trans skid as well
Thanks,
Armstrong

I'm looking into the mid width front. I talked to the guys a little and they told me they were direct fit no moving or cutting anything. I'm not sure about the stubby.

Not really a "mod" but the roll bar makes a great place to hook me ENO hammock up to! So glad topless weather has made it to the Bluegrass State

I did alittle work to Patton this weekend, installed a Crawler Conceptz stubby bumper with a bar. Forwent the recovery tabs bc I couldn't see an extra $80 for $5 tabs I can weld on myself. Painted it with some chassis black for the ease of touch ups. Time will tell if it I should have coated it. Overall I love the BUNPER and the fit was perfect, installed it by myself in about 10 min. Getting a little squat in the front- my solution is RK 1.5 triple rate springs and my TF puck leveling kit later to get room for 35s later. Thinking about this route so I can build around it slowly over time and not jumping into a full kit immediately.

Thanks! We have both, I have to the 2 door and the lady has the 4 door. Hers makes me envious of the extra wheel base and space.
