How the hell was this even working when I drove straight?

Had the damn ABS/Traction control lights go off when I turned to the left and they would eventually turn off when driving straight. Replaced the ABS sensor today and found it like this. How in the hell did the lights not stay on permanently...

that's wild, wonder if it caused some sort of short in the plug.

my dash has always lit up when there's an ABS issue. :thinking:

Was it separated or still contacting when wheel was straight then turning pulled it away?

Considering it is held in place with a bolt I would think not, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is what happened.
