My friend fabricating up some homemade fenders

Nice work! Update with painted pics asap! I cant really tell from the photos but if Im not mistaken, are they welded to the body?
 
The jeep is going to be completely repainted Viper Yellow within the next few weeks.
The fenders are welded on just like it was part of the body.
 
That is great! I miss working as a welder. We fabbed so much stuff for a coworker's wakeboard boat. Man if I was there now, I'd have all kinds of crap for my Jeep. :yup:

Looking at the second and third pics I would say they were steel. Steel will usually have that black coating on it before it gets hit by the grinder/sand blaster. Aluminum would typically be stamped (with ink) with the type of aluminum it is and be... :thinking: aluminum in color. lol

Looking nice with the yellow and black! What are you going to call him/her? Yellowjacket? ..:thinking:

Can't wait to see the finished project.

I will have to ask my friend what's he's got in mind for names. The color is Viper Yellow
