I had a weird wheezing coming from the rear since 2 days. I already wanted to flush my diff before the winter so I opened the rear and surprise! the oil was black with metal flakes in it, with metal chunks... bad sign! It's been only 10 000kms since the last flush (when I installed both rubicon diffs.) The oil in the front diff is still like new.
fortunately, I heard it and did not wait to open it, my gears are still good, at least. Found that the LH side bearing of the cage has gone, commited suicide and destroyed itself.
The bad part about this is not the break itself, it is the fact that I don't have the tools to do it myself at the shop and will have to leave that job to the dealer :icon_crazy:
