My 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited x while driving has high rpms and won't shift down when trying to accelerate the speed jeep jerks a lil. Need help finding out what's the problem? Really would appreciate. Thank you.

I've had that happen a couple of times on my 2010 when in OD and climbing a grade at speed, it shifts down and gets stuck. I tap the throttle and get my foot off it, then it shifts back into OD and rpm's drop
I've started locking out OD when climbing a grade at speed - or if it shifts out of OD and I know it'll be for a while I'll lock out OD, have not had this problem since

Just push in the clutch and throw it into 6th!
But seriously, it probably wouldn't Hurt to have the tranny fluid changed if you haven't already, and not sure if this is applicable to your rig, but some autos do that if there is a vacuum leak or low vacuum pressure.
