Well I need to get a winch for my new jeep but don't have the money to drop on that and a new bumper to go with it.
Just wanted to know how effective hi lift jacks are when used laterally as a temporary winch. Is this something to consider if I'm not able to get a winch now?
Well, I would use whatever you've got and if a Hi-Lift is all you have, yeah, I have used it as a winch before. It sucks to use and takes forever but, it can be done and is probably better to have than nothing.
