I've been lurking for years, never have much time to contribute but starting to get better at it. I have been in the 4x4 game since 1980. My family bought a Grand Wagoneer when I was 6 and started taking my brother and I on trails each summer. We were both hooked. My first 4x4 was a Toyota truck, then a 1969 FJ40, built that up and sold it. In 2000 my wife and I bought a brand new TJ sport and began building it right out the gate. That led me into more serious wheeling and eventually bought and built a 1979 CJ7 Juggy known as Ron Burgundy. Sold that rig and built an awesome 2000 S10 SAS truck. Wanted to LS swap the S10 but got the racing bug and instead built an Ultra4 car to race Dirt Riot and KOH. Never made it to the big race, but competed in 12 Dirt Riot races. Then the family started to grow and racing was not really an option anymore.
Thats where this jeep wave comes into play. Needed someway to get my three girls up into the mountains but also fit the bill of daily driver. Enter the JK. Going to keep it mild and focus on less hard core wheeling and more family time.

Searched for a very high mile but solid Rubicon with the idea that I was going to do an LS swap. Found this one and here we are.

2008 JK Rubicon with 190k miles.
