Hankook M/T RT03?

Has anyone here had any experiences with this tire?

The whole tire thing has been so confusing! I'm set to buy some 33 x 12.50 x 15's for the TJ very soon. On jeepforum they practically worship the MTR-K. I had narrowed my choices to the MTR-K, Trail Grappler, or the Hankook RT03. But after reading a lot of bad first-hand experiences with the MTR-K's on this site, I am down to 2 contenders. Obviously the Trail Grappler is a great tire... priorities are TOUGH sidewalls & great traction in the rocks.

Haven't heard much about the Hankook other than that "shootout" it won in the 4wheeloffroad article. They were extremely complimentary of the RT03... I have read that the carcass is quite stout, and it is a heavy tire like the Nitto. It is also a good bit cheaper, but I'm not too concerned there.

So, any first-hand experiences or do I just need to quit fretting and buy the Nittos? :thinking:

Oh well... hoped someone here might have tried them.

It's downright bizarre how few people are running this tire. Guess that should tell me something. From my observations, it looks like the RT03 has a more rounded shoulder and a slightly less aggressive tread than the Nitto. That bodes in the Nitto's favor for my intended use (rocks & deep snow) I think.
 
We run Hankook m/t's on our work trucks. I have to say they don't last at all. I went through 2 sets last year In about 10k miles. Our terrain is all dirt and lots of rock. Mud for about 4 months of the year. The tire does clear mud from the tread easy at all. I wouldn't put these on my personal vehicle ever. I am trying to get them to let us try TOYO tires next month. We are hoping they last longer.
 
I may be mistaken but I do believe those girls needed a parental signature on a permission slip to even be at the show. Or I am just starting to get really old.

Gotta love show girls! But always remember no matter how good looking she is, some man somewhere is tired of putting up with her crap! :cheesy:
