Greasy knuckle

I noticed that I have a greasy knuckle on the drivers side about a month ago. Passenger side is clean. I am now having a small squeak when braking. It's extremely infrequent, maybe once a drive and it happens at slower speeds.

Most likely axle seal leak which possibly been leaking for some time. Check your diff oil level. This is what I would start from. I can't see the picture you posted.
