Haha I can just see you now. Going up it thinking "I hope it dont cave in or, What if I get stuck" then jump out the jeep with a huge smile saying holy shit... Snap some pics. Cop pulls up and says, what the hell you doing? Oh nothing just checking out my new lift and tires.

Ouch! Not sure how it is where you live, but around these parts a reckless driving ticket can get you the same insurance rate as a DUI.

We have huge snow piles at my work and I'm always tempted to do the same thing. I just know I'd get yelled at for it. Damn bosses and their liability fears.

Reckless driving? He probably thought you were going to try the first backflip in a JKU. Fortunately the cop had a small sense of what Jeep ownership is about.:yup:

wow thats a good one, my gf keeps telling me to find a pile like that and park on it......closeest thing we have is just a pile of stones in the work parking lot that I keep eyeing up everyday

Not sure how the cop had jurisdiction in a private parking lot.

Same reason why you can get arrested for DUI in a parking lot, or your own driveway for that matter. The private property thing is a common misconception. Municipal and state laws extend everywhere. You can maybe drive a non-op car on your own property, but many penal and traffic codes only require an instance of 1) driving, and 2) driving in a certain manner, ie recklessly or under the influence, without regard to where it happens.

-Former state prosecutor, current City attorney/prosecutor :brows: But for the instance in question: totally not reckless driving, but I still wouldn't do it in front of an officer. :bleh:
