Gordy's Hill - Socorro NM (May 15 - this Sunday)

Will go to Gordy's this Sunday to run a few of the harder trails if I can find at least a couple of other vehicles to go along. Suggest lifted, at least 315/70s (35s), winch (not totally necessary as I have one and expect others will as well), and at least one locker. I've never led a trip there but have been there a few times and can probably find my way around (might make a few false moves). Would be willing to consider suggestions if you don't like my trail selection. If you want to go, meet at the Lemitar Truck stop at 9:15 to air down and to leave for the trails at 9:30. We will be passing Escondido lake about 9:40 if you want to wait there instead. Let me know on either the forum or by PM. Thx

Hey Joe, I'd love to go but I already have plans for tomorrow. If you are willing to postpone until next Sunday let me know or if you want to run a different trail next Sunday let me know too.

Next Sunday won't work for me.

We're getting hardwood floors on Monday and I need to get things ready for the workers (moving furniture, baseboards, etc.). 2Cross might be interested (he was tied up this weekend).

We'll shoot for another trip pretty soon.

Gordy's Today - Sunday, May 15, 2016

Missed you guys today. It was a perfect day at Gordy's. Not too hot, a short rain kept the dust down and the rocks had more traction than ever. Hidden Valley, Lower Amado, Bad Hair Day, Edge Canyon (not the last few obstacles - though I was tempted) and as far into Coyote Hills as we could go (got to a 6 foot waterfall that I just couldn't get my back tires up - I probably could have winched but it looked even harder further on). Ran by myself and didn't want to break something and have to go for help.

Maybe next time. I know some Wayalifers go there but have yet to hook up with them. I hope you all had a great Jeeping weekend.
