Front Locker Light Flashing

On the Jeep I recently bought, when I try to put the front locker in, the light just flashes. It has a small bit of click when putting pressure on it and definitely feels different than rear only, but never stops flashing. Any recommendations? It’s a 2014 JKU Rubicon. Dynatrac front “axle assembly”

Sounds like the dog clutch is not engaging. If the Jeep was recently regeared, it could be that the plunger was installed incorrectly. If not, you may need a new locker.

I’m not sure exactly when it was regeared to be honest. I’m the third owner and the previous owner bought it built in its current configuration in 2021.

If a new locker is necessary, what’s the range I’m looking at? I was figuring on new axles in the next year or so, so I wouldn’t want to waste money in fixing something overly expensive if I’m going to replace in that time frame.

I was thinking to take it to WFO in Auburn to have them check it out. Not sure if anyone has any recommendations or reviews of that shop as opposed to any others in the Sacramento/Bay Area…

If you’re willing to drive down to the Fresno area, I would highly recommend reaching out to Disciple Off Road. Jeremy, the owner is here on the forum and he really knows his stuff.

if you were to replace the locker, you’re looking at $2k easy. The locker itself is $1300 or so.

Verify if your locker is engaging or not. If it is engaging, it’s the locker position sensor. They have a tendency to stick.
If they stick, they got bent putting the carrier/dog clutch in wrong.

Yes but the locker itself 99% of the time is fine, it’s the magnet/dog clutch that fails and are $110 on Amazon.

I'll be taking it to diagnose hopefully sometime next week or the following. Hoping, as @Disciple Off Road said, it's a cheaper fix. The only obstacle for now is to find the time. I am going to lift up the front today and engage to see if it's truly locking.
