Hey guys first time Jeep owner here. I've learned a TON of information on this site from everyone!! Thanks for that.

I've got a front end question hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.

2015 Sahara 4" lift and 325/60 tires. It's a daily driver and I'm right at 55k miles. I'm noticing more drifting around and NOTICEABLY more pull on uneven road surfaces. Is there any one front end component that is usually first to go that I should focus on? If I put it on jack stands will I see significant play if something is worn or will a shop have to put it on a rack with a alignment machine to tell me what's going on? Also while I have more drift and pull it has absolutely no bump steer. Not sure if that's relevant or not but more info is usually better than less when troubleshooting.

Sounds like a caster problem. How long have you had the lift on there?

It does sound like a caster issue, but I'd check your ball joints along with other steering components as well. If it's getting noticably worse, something is probably wearing out and enhancing the feeling.

So the would the caster issue be something that needs replacement or alignment? Sorry for the newbie question but like I said it's my first Jeep.

Caster had to do with the angle of your axle. As you lift the Jeep it gets thrown off from factory specs which I believe is about 4-4.5°. The fix is to get adjustable control arms (uppers at the least) and get it back into spec.[/QUOTE]

When you lift your Jeep, the angle of the axle shifts and throws your caster out of spec. The fix is installing front adjustable control arms (the uppers at a minimum) and correcting the caster to as close to 4-4.5° as you can without throwing anything else out of whack.
