Mom was diggin threw her crap found a pic of my Highschool wheels.

Blew up the old 134 L-head, was in the process of mounting a 3.4L chevy V-6, Th-300 auto, and an Dana-18 xfer case. Ran into driveline issues with the drive shaft that was going to be about 5 inches long, and ran out of money before I could do a stretch- dove combo. (I worked at a UPS store and couldn't keep up on funding it.) Had Dana 44's front and rear and a Fuel cell in the back. Man I miss that Jeep, the things I could do to it now if the Parents didn't sell it after I left.oldjeep.jpg

I love the photo of your old CJ. It was a winner and you were so close.:thumb: I did kind of the same thing only it was way after high school. We placed the 350 Chevy 2" to the rear which made for a super short rear drive shaft but better traction to the rear wheels. All we did to the suspension was re-arch the springs and add another leaf and good shocks. That was the key. Any more lift and we knew we'd have perpetual driveshaft troubles. Careful balancing of the shaft and a little fiddling with the angle of the rear diff got us a good vibration free ride. Like my high school girlfriend, I miss her lots. I called her Linebacker 'cause she wasn't the biggest on the trail, but she hit hard. Hope my wife doesn't see this post:yup:

My high school jeep was a '68 Willys CJ3b with a Kelly top. It was my uncles and he offered it to me. I was a complete idiot and passed. He sold it and I can kick myself in the ass ever since.ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1367545396.690471.jpg

I found a Rancho 2.5 in spring lift and did a spring over on it. Oh the things I would do know that I have a real job and the things I learned working on that with my Dad.
