Footwell lights staying on?

i’ve noticed on my 24 gladiator, that the lights in the footwells stay on when the headlights are. If I turn the dimmer down one click they go off, but the screen/instrument cluster is too bright. If I try to dim the dash the footwell lights come back on and dim with the dash. I’ve tried the light, dark, manual and auto modes, no luck. The cluster / screen just stays at full brightness. I’ve tried dimming the brightness on the night settings, on the Infotaiment screen, but it’s shaded and I can’t adjust it. I guess worst case, I cover them with something.

I just put a taser in it today and eliminated a few of the little annoying things that Jeep does, but I don’t see anything for the lights. I’ve searched online and I see it’s something a few people have mentioned. Has anyone found a good fix for this?

This should be covered by warranty so your first stop should be to a reputable dealership to get it fixed.

Thanks, I was wondering if it might be some safety feature, like the three horn honks to let everyone know you’re out of the vehicle and it’s running. It’s been so long since I had a brand new vehicle, I didn’t even think about not fixing it myself first.
