Fender fixed with cable ties

So I damaged my fender and in a jam I used a few cable ties to put it back together. I was lucky not to break too many of the fender clips so I could re-install the fender. Hopefully this will help someone else that finds themselves in a similar situation.







I do plan to fix it correctly once I receive the parts.

I've used cable ties anywhere plastic breaks. You're basically just sewing it back together. Or when a plastic hinge breaks just tie it back together loosely.

Gotta love cable ties I buy them in bulk at harbor freight. :beer:

FYI.. Use the black ones for outside applications or wherever UV (florescent) light is around. The white ties are sensitive to UV and will get brittle when exposed. The black are not sensitive to UV and unless they are cheapies also have a larger temperature range. :yup:

I didn't know the black zip ties were UV resistant. I prefer to use them because I think they look better in most applications. This is why I'm a forum member. I learn new things every time I read a new post.

The only thing that doesn't work right now in the fender is the marker light because the bulb is broken. Just under $2 for that bulb won't break the bank.
