Falken Wildpeak AT/4 Review

Hey team, just wanted to make a post because about two months ago I got Falken Wildpeak AT/4s and let me tell you I love these tires. Yesterday I finally got to test them out on the trail at Uwharrie in North Carolina. I’m running 37x12.5. On road they’re spectacular. We don’t get snow, but plenty of rain and they perform terrifically in wet conditions. I’m running them at 26-28 psi and they’re comfortable and quiet. My gas mileage even seems a bit better.

The trails at Uwharrie are a nice mix of dirt and rocks, some very jagged. I was around 15-16 psi and they’re comfortable performed admirably. I did all the basic & intermediate trails as well as Dutch John which is one of the tougher ones there. No slipping or loss of traction whether I was in dirt, mud, or the dusty rocks. Sidewalls took a through beating over the course of 4 hours.

If you’re in the market for new ATs then put these on the list! They were every bit as good on the trail yesterday as my old Baja Boss M/Ts and WAY nicer to drive home after a long day.

I ran WildPeak AT's in the past and I also found them to be excellent in the rain, better than the BFG KO2, they did well on the trail as well.

What I didn't like about the WildPeak, they weren't good in the snow. Traveling thru Colorado during winter sucked because of the lack of control I felt and the pain was worse as subaru after subaru passed me 🙈

Do you get snow in your area? Would be interested in what you think after a good snowfall.

But the AT/4 is a new tire, no? Not the same as the older model.

Snow's the only thing I cant comment on. We get 1 day every couple of years. Slightly different tread and it's supposed to be a new/better compound. Three Peak rated and the 37 has a 60K mile treadlife warranty. I figured its gotta be a solid upgrade if they'll warranty a 37 so I rolled the dice.

Can't speak to the AT4's but I have the AT3's on my truck and I ran it through Colorado like you mentioned pulling a gooseneck trailer through the snow and they did great there. Been in the snow with it several times here and they did just fine. I would think the AT4's having the same 3peak rating would perform the same.

Side note - those Subaru drivers in Colorado are fucking crazy
