Factory locker sensors

For a long time now there really hasn’t been a fix for the factory locker lights. Yes Z automotive made a bypass harness but it’s just a bandaid. Well it looks like mopar has stock of the locker position sensors again! They come in a pack of 5. They all have different part numbers on them so you would need to compare them to the one your removing from you locker. Part number for the new position sensors is below.

I replaced one today for a customer we previously did a regear on. He had a Z automotive bypass installed. The new sensor works as intended and I had the bypass removed. The box of 5 is only about $200. (Our shops cost was $150 so the $200 is a rough guess). Was super easy to replace as well. Just need a 10mm to remove the diff cover and a T25 torx bit to remove the sensor off the locker.

5?? and they're all different?

Not that I could tell. Knowing mopar prob not

All different part numbers. The first one that was labeled matched the one that was in the axle. Swapped it out and codes self cleared and axle light went out
Why wouldn’t they sell them individually so you could buy the one you need?

So, Jeep used a bunch of different type of sensors in the axles and they have no way of knowing what's in each axle.
and their ex-CEO was an engineer... figures

Good to know. Not sure if you have seen any come through yet but when doing @wayoflife’s gears, we noticed the lockers were different and more like what the JK’s have. Was the first time seeing it in a JL/JT. May be a 2024&UP thing.

Have yet to see a 24 in for a regear but will remember this and keep ann eye out. Thanks Jeremy!

Got the light on last night on a long drive home.
Could not back up into my driveway, Jeep simply would not move. No issues driving forward, ideas?

I had that light, but it didn't stop me from going in reverse.
long shot, have you checked the calipers to see if the bolts are still there?
