Exhaust System

Caught the Bug
Ok, question? for all of you who put a Dynatrac Pro-rock 60 in the rear, what did you do for an exhaust system? Mine is getting smashed by my Track Bar. I went to an exhaust shop here in Tuscon and they said they cut basically do the exhaust dump before the axle and the resonator would be tucked up along the side like a few of the different cat back system. The shop is only charging my 230 dollars to do it. I was just wondering if there is any cons to have the exhaust pipe end right before the axle?

I still have my stock exhaust system and haven’t had any problem yet.

I noticed I get whiffs of exhaust every now and again but that is pretty much the standard exhaust setup for an Evo lever if I remember correctly.

I ran mine like that for a long time. Actually I used a 30” glass pack from the crossmember back and had a turn down right beside the lower control arm mount. Works great nice and tucked up. Slides right over everything.

I used the MagnaFlow rock crawler with the rear exhaust. A little loader than I wanted but with mud Grapplers I can’t hear it.

I would definitely use a turn down. The exhaust is hot enough to melt plastic, rubber, etc.

This for sure

I didn't put enough of a turndown on my F-250 one time. The first time out with a trailer, my passenger rear taillight complete melted and drooled down over the bumper

Like the others have said, use a turn down. I’ve never noticed any exhaust smell or issues with a pre axle setup.
