TIPM Victims and experts,
Let me explain the current state of my 2015 JK in hopes of getting some good feedback.
Without the key in the ignition or in any kind of on position, as soon as I connect my battery terminals the Voltage reading from my battery drops from about 13.2VDC to 5.5VDC. Upon connecting the +/- terminals I immediately hear what sounds like ticking coming from the horns on the driver side. I proceed to disconnect the horns and I hear a much quieter tick coming from the TIPM. Possibly a relay actuating and releasing very fast?
Further troubleshooting I disconnect the cables to the TIPM one at a time. Disconnecting the brown connector (see attachment) stops the ticking.
If anyone has any knowledge regarding this cable or what it powers, or any other wild ideas please let me know.
