Eagle Rock, Colorado Springs

Does anyone know if old stage road is open to vehicles again or know if there is a way to get to eagle rock after all the flood damage in that area?

From this side no, you need to go in from the cripple creek/victor side or so I have heard. I had also heard that it was gated on that side as well. Let me check the local jeepers Facebook page to see if I can get more info for you.

Sounds like the back side is open still, no word on when it will open on this side.

thanks for the info im hoping to try to get out there in the next few weeks so ill make sure i post an update. From what i have heard coming in from the front side is a mess and those built up sections of the road are only wide enough to pass on an ATV and will take a lot of work to repair, so who know when or if it will be open again. :naw:

I used to go run Eagle Rock from the C-Springs side in my Tacoma during college, I can 100% blame that area of the front range for a lifelong off-road addiction. Sad to hear its had a rough time with flooding.

One of our areas in Arkansas had a giant landslide about 2 years ago and it just recently got cleaned up to the point that it was passable, I wouldn't get your hopes up about quick road repair results.

It's a great trail. That and Bull Park which is at the end of eagle rock a crosse the stream. There are some local guys that are going to try and run it this weekend so I will get you an update on how they get out there.

Hey guys, me and my buddy are taking our girls(JK's) and our girlfriends to Pikes Peak and the Royal Gorge over Memorial day. Do you have any suggestions about some trails we could run that wouldn't be more than say...ooooohh..like, no more then 2 hours from the Gorge or Pikes Peak areas? My buddy has a stock rubi, which is capable enough, but he doesn't like to do anything TO extreme so, please, no 'ba**s in the stomach/girlfriends screaming bloody murder type of trails!! :thumb::thumb: THANK YOU!

Where are you coming from? Medano pass is good easy trail going to the sand dunes. Also look at trail damage.com

We will be coming from Tulsa,OK. The 'fastest' way to get there is to go straight north up to Wichita then due west but that drive through Kansas is EXTREMELY boring...I think we'll be going up through Oklahoma's panhandle, so we will be getting to Col.Springs/Canon City area from the southeast. How far of a drive is 'Medano pass' ?

Thank you very much man.

Trail damage is a good site to check out. The are several easy to mod trails around the Woodland Park area: Illinois Gulch, hatch gulch, rampart road area has lots of side trails and all are pretty easy with some nice views.

A couple guys have ran eagle rock nice then flood beware though this trail went from kinda hard to extreme nice the flood yes the cripple creek side is open

Guys ran it last weekend and it's still got a lot of snow on it, some had to turn around and others had to break a lot of trail.
