Caught the Bug
Ok, I am going to order my new axle today, I called Trail Jeeps first and here is the quote sent to me from Chuck Converse (Super nice guy and very helpful)

1) Pro Rock 44 w/ 1/2 thick tubes and built in caster for 3inch or more lifts and ProSteer Ball Joints - $2900.00
2) Reid Knuckles - $559.98
3) 5.13 Ring and Pinon - 174.99
4) Master install Kit - 189.99
5) ARB Air Locker - $940.50
6) 1310 Yoke Dana 44 - $89.00
7) D44 Front Axle Kit 35 Spline
8) Labor - $625.00
9) Shop Supplies - $40.00

The total came to $7,027.58, Chuck gave me a 10% discount which the final price came to $6,365.47

Now, Northridge it is $5,733.40, which includes the following -

1) Pro Rock 44 w/ 1/2 thick tubes and built in caster for 3inch or more lifts - $2,480.25
2) ARB Air Locker - $893.48
3)Master Rebuild Kit - $118.76
4) Pro Steer Ball Joints $559.66
5) 5.13 Ring and Pinon - $221.86
6) 1310 Yoke Dana 44 - $44.88
7) Ten Factory D44 Pro Rock U-Joint Axle Kit - $764.76
8 Reid Knuckles - $531.76
9) Synergy Manufacturing Jeep Front Axle HD Track Bar Bracket - $118.76
10) Labor $300.00

This total is $5733.40

The difference between the two is $632.07 that is a big difference, even among friends. Is there something I am missing or should I go with the Northridge 4x4, I know they are not a favored company here. I do like to support the sponsors here, but $632 bones is a lot of money. How is the quality maintenance as far as assembling the axle?
 
Neither Northridge nor Trail Jeeps are supporting advertisers here. I would suggest going directly with Dynatrac or try Exodus Jeeps. Both are supporting vendors here. Also, as far as the 2nd quote you got, is that locker and those axles 35 splines as well?

One more thing, if you go with Rancho knuckles vs Reid, I think they're almost 100 dollars cheaper and they look identical. And Rancho is a supporting vendor here on the forum.
 
I would pay the extra money to have the axle company set up the axles that they make. No effing way in hell I would trust NR4x4 to set up my axles.

Strange you could get the trail leader package for 6499 only difference is it will not have your reid knuckles but you get a ARB Gears and Axle shafts for the rear.
 
Those prices seem a little high. Just for reference, I got my PR44 unlimited for 4500 shipped. It came with prosteers, arb locker, 5.13s, 1350 yoke, welded on track bar bracket. This was about a year and a half ago though.
 
Just for my knowledge, why the reid or rancho knuckles? Are the stock ones that bad? I haven't heard of people breaking them. You could take the savings and be over halfway to a dynatrac big brake kit.

He is probably replacing a D30 and does not have the stock knuckles.
 
Aren't the D30 knuckles the same as the D44 ones?

I just googled the Reid, and it looks like they let you flip the tie rod as well as the drag link, so you get that benefit.

I put my D30 knuckles on my PR44. Not a huge fan of drilling out the knuckle to flip the Synergy draglink. I would have probably done the Rancho high steer knuckles if they were available when I did mine.

Also recommended 1350 yoke.

Definitely use Exodus Jeeps, customer service is top notch. He answered every dumb question I came up with over about a 6 week span of me trying to make up my mind. Believe me I asked plenty.
I went the ProRock 44 unlimited, Ox Lockers, 5.13 gears, revolution 35 spline shafts, Prosteer Balljoints, Raised trackbar mount.
I ordered it on a Monday and it shipped that week.
Talk to Bubba you will be glad you did.

FYI this a Factory knuckle with a DL flip.

Also get 1350 yokes. I'm running Adams 1350 driveshafts and they are super smooth.
