Drive Shaft question (that I didn't find searching "drive shaft")

I was told if I go over 3" on a lift I would need new (longer) drive shafts.
I was looking at teraflex 3.5 & 4.5 lifts because all I want is to run 37" tires.... Do I really need new shafts and if so where did you guys get them?
Thanks for your time! - jud

On the rear, you should be fine at 3.5" but at 4.5", you should install a carrier bearing spacer. Up front and at 4.5", the boot on the rzeppa joint WILL be in a constant state of pinch at ride height. No big deal if you still have your FAD installed but once you go wheeling, it WILL fail sooner than later. At 3.5", it will last a bit longer but not if you do a lot of big flex wheeling.
