Door removal

I own a 07 jk and I'm having one hell of a time trying to take the doors off. I know that the previous owner had the hinges replaced and painted. Could that be my issue? Any tips on how to take them off if they won't come off easy?

That thread helps a lot. I would suggest applying some PB Blaster on the hinges/bolts and ride around for a day, make sure to open and close the doors.

Make sure you unhook door straps and wire harness for dome light as well.

And then secure the door from swinging all the way out and denting the cowl with the mirror.

open the door 90% before you try to lift it...mine seem to come off easier when opened 90%

It helps that my driveway is on a slight incline.

use hi-lift jack on the door to lift it a bit. protect paint with some towels and it should force that door right out.

I know someone that has a dent on their rocker panel cause of a hi-lift
