What are you building? Sliders, carrier?

I have that same helmet too. :thumb:

You cant beat the helmet! Going to build some sliders. Starting with 40' plus of 1-3/4" OD .120 dom. (probably enough for a couple of sets) Been doing some homework, trying to combine a few ideas Ive seen around. I know I can buy something and bolt/weld it on, but I look at it as therapy.

Made a little progress last night.

Outside to outside is approx 7-3/4". Once i tack it together I will do a temporary mount to frame and deturmine optimum angle and whether 7.75" is too much. I can still shorten up short tubes at thay point.

Making progress slow and not so steady. Contemplating going with weld nuts to frame.

looks really good, and EVO inspired! :thumb: are you planning on gusseting the base to the tubing for support like EVO does?

Thanks Chris. Yes definitely EVO inspired, with VKS lines, and going with the weld nuts to frame mount though (somewhat LOD) without using the existing bottom of frame threaded holes though. It Will have 32,000 lbs of single shear value on the hardware to frame at each mount though, so we will see. From what I have found, A 3/8 grade 8 bolt has a shear value of around 8500 lbs.
I'm still kicking around ideas for the wife's side so she can get in easier.
