So I got tired of leaning my soft top against a wall in my garage and made a hanger for my top and got it off the floor.
I used a 5/8" galvanized ground rod and 1 1/2"x 1/8" x 36" flat bar from the local home improvement store.
I cut the ground rod down to 58" and mounted it to a 48" shelf using some 1/2" two hole straps about 7" off the wall. I slipped a piece of rubber hose on each end of the rod to protect the plastic bracket on the top.
Next I made two L brackets to screw to the wooden studs in the wall to hold the soft top by the roll bar mounting points. The L brackets are mounted about 45" apart from one another, they stick 7" off the wall and top of the L bracket is mounted 6" below the top of the shelf . You will need to drill 2 each 1/2" holes at the end of the L brackets to secure the top to.
When you are ready to hang your soft top you will side the top on end of the rod and side towards the shelf on the rod so that you can put the other side of the top on the rod and then center the top on the rod.
You will need to pick up the two mounting rods and use the mounting screws to secure them to the L brackets. The L bracket will support most of the weight so the you don't damage the plastic hinge bracket on the top.
You can lay the windows over the top and the rear window will sit between the L brackets.
