If you guys have never heard of Dakar, it's by far one of the toughest and longest off road race on the planet bar none. Of course, of all the classes they have, this is one that I had not heard of until recently - the Truck Class!! Tell me this wouldn't be crazy fun to do

That would bee too cool, although I imagine it takes a little getting used to slinging that thing around. I love how many spare tires they have in the back.

Isn't the truck class there so teams like Robby Gordan can have a rolling tool box behind him?

The truck class has been around. Sweet to see those monsters hauling ass.

The Dakar is the best race of the year. I don't miss it for anything. The truck class has been around for about 10 years or so. They just don't show it to often. To bad, because it is the best class to watch.

this race is awesome to watch..I remember a few years ago there was a documentary on one of the truck teams.
while I think it would be fun, I think I'd be a little scared in trying to keep up with that truck!

Yep, I have always enjoyed the truck racing as well and like has been mentioned, they rarely show it. It did start out as "support" vehicles and slowly morphed into it's own class, so now they have support trucks for the trucks...

Crazy stuff to watch.

Would love to see you and Mel (Wayalife/dynatrac/evo) participate in the Dakar Rally. Would be amazing to see you guys run it, and of course, having Cindy filming it wouldn't suck either. You guys have next level rigs, time for next level races. :D Oh, and if memory serves, there were/are no Jeeps competing...if you/mel/dynatrac has contacts at chrysler, you might even be able to attach them to the project! Something to think about :D

Mel and I have talked about this race since it is one of our favorites and how cool the support truck class is. It would take millions $$$$ to not only be successful, but just to finish. I have followed this race almost since its inception back when it was known as the Paris to Dakar rally, it remains somewhere near the top of my list of challenges to conquer :thumb: Let us give the 3 different classes the team is entered in at the King Of The Hammers a good run this year and plan from there :icon_crazy:

Yes Paris to dakar. The used to show clips of it on speed channel. They will show 30 min segment of stages on cbn I believe.
