Silly question that I may know the answer. But for a new crate axle do you have to do the same process for breaking in gears after a re-gear. Or do you treat it like a new factory axle and change the oil at its first service interval.
Unlike factory axles, crate axles are hand built and the gears need to be treated like new installs. Trust me, I speak from experience and NOT doing it right.
