Color match paint experience?

Caught the Bug
I need to paint a few things and want to match the factory white. I've used the dupli-color cans and they generally sucks balls to put it mildly.

I have a compressor and a spray gun, but really don't want to mess around with setting it up.

I was looking at this product in their 12 oz aerosol can:

Anyone use this before? Any other recommendations?

I used it for my rock rings and so did overlander. They came out almost identical to the factory color if you ask me. I plan on buying paint from them again when I need to touch up my rings and if I ever get Evo corners

Thanks Coz. How does the spray come out? Is it even?
 
I haven't used the one mentioned but i did use the mopar brand color matched spray paint on my slider inserts. Matched pretty well; maybe 90% of perfect once the clear coat went on. I think I got it from Quadratec. It is over priced though....
 
I've used the SprayMax 2k Aerosol cans with great luck. They have a separate canister inside the spray can with hardener/catalyst in it, so it hardens through chemical reaction versus evaporation.

You can buy them online already premixed with color matched paint. I've used them doing some minor repair work on some other cars I've had, and found it to be as tough as the factory paint.
I plan to use it for when I do my rear quarters.

I went to a local auto supply shop and had them mix a single stage can of bright white for me...matched fine. Clear coat and base coat is mixed together. Cost about $30

You'll want to get a can of primer and some polish to shine up the paint when done.
 
I got all my paint right from an auto body supply shop in a 2 stage can. Super easy for them to make was like 20 bucks and another 7 for mopar clear coat. I can find pics if needed, but painted some small and large spots with it as well as my light bar mounts.

When I did my rocker knocker panels and wheel inserts, I used the mopar touch up paint, idk if this route is a option for you or not. It was the color code and clear coat combine, I will say that when using it, it got wet really fast and ran down a bit, might of been I was too close or just needed to calm down on the coats lol


It came out good, probably coulda used 1 or 2 more coats

That's where I got it from. Sprays well and matches well also.
 
Finish Masters is a auto body paint store they can match any color and put in aerosol cans for you also.


I used it for my classics when I worked on them to paint interior parts and motor parts to match. They also carry Aerosol clear coat best stuff to touch up a panel if needed.
