I picked up an 84 CJ 2 weeks ago. The plan is to build a CJ roughly based off Everyman Challenge builds.
Drivetrain consist of:
Dana 60 king pin
14 bolt
TH400
Aluminum Head SB Chevy
Once got the Jeep off the trailer began stripping it and found some really bad rust on the back half of the frame. The tub was shot, floors and sides rotted all over. After pulling the tub, axles and motor. I jigged up the frame and cut the back half off. I began constructing the back half of the frame out on 2 x 4 x .250”
I picked up a TJ tub and plan to graft the CJ cowl onto the tub. I should be able to use the TJ heat/ac blower and wider TJ rear seat.
I’ll add more tonight.
