Somebody on instagram a couple of years ago swapped a 2011 steering wheel and center console into their 09. Not sure what the point of it really is though

Because the shifter and console are nicer.

It's pretty common with LS swaps to get the tap shift. Otherwise you're tap shift can be done by an external switch, or the cruise control lever.

I wouldn't do it otherwise just for an updated look.
