CB Help

Getting ready for my first trail ride with my local Jeep club in April. I need a CB and it's going to be my first one so I just need some suggestions if I have everything needed in my checklist.

You’ll need a small jumper coaxial cable to tune it with the SWR meter... a 12” cable should work.

The meter I'm looking at comes with a 3 foot cable, should I look at another? Would this not be long enough?

i'd go with a 4' antenna instead of the 3'

^^^^ This. I couldn't get the 3' to tune for shit for some reason. Went with the 4' and got almost perfect SWR and power output with the Cobra 75.

Thanks guys, I'll change to the 4 foot.

I had to add a grounding strap to get my SWR at 1.2 on Ch 1 and Channel 40.
