Carnage From Last Run

I was on some local trails, and I went to cross a river and got as stuck as it gets on the bank. My rear bumper got hung up and I got a nice little crinkle in my stick bumper. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1377267378.405510.jpg

I was just wondering if any of you know of a good way to pop that out by chance? I also got stuck going through some tree limbs on some narrow trails so I have a few light surface level scratches on him. Are there any easy ways to buff those out? If any one can help out from experience or just knows an easy way I'd really appreciate it!

You're best bet is to just replace the rear bumper as if you intend to go wheeling more in the future, it'll happen again.

Having said that, if you're determined to keep it, you can pull the bumper, drill or cut a hole on the back side of it and use it as an access point for tools to push the plastic back out. You should know that it'll never go back to being perfect and where the bends occurred, it'll still show up as well.

Thanks Eddie! I am planning on changing it someday so I'll probably just leave it for now! Do you have any good home remedies for light scratches in the paint job?

Yup, being that you have a black Jeep, you can wax it up with some black wax. It works surprisingly well.

this may be a terrible idea, but since the bumper if sealed, if you want to do a temp fix you could probably drill a hole on the inside, thread a hose nipple on it and VERY CAREFULLY add compressed air till it pops out... might work might not... but a thought.

Turtle wax has a "black box" sorta thing that has like 3 parts, all made for black paint. Its good stuff

Yep, used it on the last black Jeep I had and it worked well. Surprisingly, it even works on hard tops too.
