CALAMITY JANE - All Colored Up in Factory Jetset Blue Metallic

I've been meaning to post up some better pics of Jane after getting her all colored up in her original factory Jetset Blue Metallic but the weather had been kind of crummy. Well, the sun was out for a bit yesterday and Cindy and I had a little time on our hands so we snapped a few so that you could get a better look at what she looks like now. :cool:

Really happy with the way the dash came out being that it was basically swiss cheese before.

After taking apart the gauges, cleaning them up and repainting the needles, here's what they look like now. I also bought new instrument lights just to finish things up.

UPDATE 12/23/16

Got a chance to spend a little more time on Jane today and got her seats with cleaned up and repainted seat brackets installed, hood reassembled and installed, windshield installed and even got all the dash lights working again. :yup:

Here's a shot of the seat brackets from the driver side. As you can see, Cindy and I cleaned them all up and hit them up with some new black paint.

That really is a beautiful color. Can't wait to see it put back together and added to your collection. I also see you have a new steering stabilizer on there.

Yeah, you could say that the one that came on her had seen better days.

Nah - I have no real experience with paint other than what comes out of a rattle can. I would have liked to do it myself but didn't want to chance it with something like a metallic paint that would show all my mistakes. Needless to say, I did all the body work and sanding but left paint to the pros. I used a local shop in Carson City called Battle Born.
 
Looks like a great project. I wish I could just get my first jeep built lol. I have some kids that will start getting old enough to drive soon so I will be trying to find some old jeeps when it's time

Wow that color looks great, hard to tell from that little chip chart but what a great choice it was. The shop did a great job :thumb:
 
Looks amazing! Can't wait to see the finished product. Hopefully there is video of you driving home in the cold from the paint shop..haha
