Bushwacker Jeep Flat Style Fender Flare

I just ordered a whole set of flares for my JK. I read a few write ups and looked at the instructions given by bushwacker. It seems that I would save a whole lot of time by just leaving out the fender linings and not deal with cutting them. If anyone has done that, is it a possibility or do they need to remain on the jeep? Also will it just affect my jeep aesthetically or will it give me problems down the road? Thanks in advance.:drinks:

I trimmed the fronts and left out the rears since you do not need those. I just sprayed the rear wheel wells black :thumb:. Take your time on the front liner cuts tho, can be tricky to get to fit right with the bushwackers. I have no issues running your same setup.

+1 although I did trim both front and rear on mine. Once the fenders were off I put the trim back in its place and traced along the edge where I needed to trim it. From there just took my time and trim them up nicely after test fit I trimmed any additional that it needed to get a perfect fitment.

If anything save the inner liners for another day if you are short on time.

Very Happy with these fenders..

I was thinking about taking the fronts out, but wasn't sure if it actually protected anything, since the stuff behind them get dirty anyway from our mud on the east coast.

Honestly, I was really concerned about not having liners up front during the 2012 JK-Experience. The mud we were playing in was just nasty but surprisingly, I really didn't get as much of the sticky stuff up in the engine bay as I would have thought. I definitely would ditch the front ones. The rear liners fill in the gap better on light colored Jeeps but, some black spray paint can fix that just as easily :yup:

I'd ditch them. I took the time to cut mine and reinstall them, but after the 2012 JKX I ditched them too. :thumb:

Would they look good on a stock jk 2-door with like 33s Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE mobile app
I think I have a few pictures of when I installed them before my 35s...lemme see what I can find.

This was 35s and a 2.5" lift. I feel stock suspension and larger tires It would actually look good.

Looks like I'll probably just scrap the insides. I have a black jeep anyway, so it probably won't be too noticeable. I appreciate the input and I'll post some pics when I get them installed, probably this weekend.
