Build help with leveling kit

I'm looking to go to 35s, I'm planning on getting the evo leveling kit with new shocks trimming fenders and installing wheel spacers. My questions are what shocks brand and length, bumps stops length, and anything else needed? Any help would be appreciated. Another question I've been wondering about is what is the benefits of doing a budget boost or spring lift as opposed to a leveling kit? Is it just the extra ground clearance, extra flex. Also is the difference between them worth the extra money?

With a leveling kit, you really want to be running shocks that are about factory length or more specifically, no more than about 2" longer. You could run shock extensions and that would get you by as well. While you could run longer, the extra droop you would see from them will cause your front drive shaft to tear it's slip shaft boot as it makes contact with your exhaust cross over. You can run exhaust spacers or a y-pipe adapter to address this but a new drive shaft would be the better way to go. As far as bump stops go, you technically want to run ones that are as tall as you have lift but I know the EVO kit doesn't come with any and so I would imagine their coils are designed to not over compress at a full stuff. The rear you should be fine as the spacers are so small.

Any help would be appreciated. Another question I've been wondering about is what is the benefits of doing a budget boost or spring lift as opposed to a leveling kit? Is it just the extra ground clearance, extra flex. Also is the difference between them worth the extra money?

A budget boost are just coil spacers similar to what you get in the rear of the EVO leveling kit. They are just a lot cheaper and you essentially retain the ride you have from the factory. A spring lift is essentially what you will be getting up front on the EVO leveling kit. As far as worth goes, I suppose it depends on what you're wanting.

I really just want it to be as capable as possible without exceeding the 2.5 hight / droop that will cause drive shaft problems, and keep my budget low. I don't have a problem getting a decent 2.5 lift around 800$ if it will make a big difference over a 200$ leveling kit.

Your shock length will determine whether or not you will have problems with your drive shaft at a droop. 2.5" coil spacers or a leveling kit and shock extensions or shocks that are no more than about 2"-2.5" longer than stock will help to ensure you won't have any problems. Where you will run into problems is in 2.5" spring lifts like what TeraFlex makes as they yield way more than 3" of actual lift and even if you were to run shorter shocks to prevent too much droop, the angle your front and rear drive shaft will sit at will cause the CV boots to sit at a constant state of pinch and that will cause them to fail prematurely.

All that being said, you should be fine with the EVO leveling kit.

You don't happen to know what the 2 dr rubicon shocks measure at full stuff and fully compressed, do you ?
