Build Help- Tie Rod

I need some help choosing a good Tie Rod. 08' JKU build in progress. Using my stock 44 front axle with some minor mods. EVO 44 Magnum sleeves, EVO C2 gussets, lower control arm skids, RCV axles, Reid Knuckles, EVO bolt on Coilovers, 4" EVO long arm, Dynatrac cover, Pro Steer Ball joints, EVO Draglink Flip Kit, trimmed factory flares. Not sure what Tie rod to go with..... Sugestions? What holds up, what doesn't? Not my daily driver, building to crawl and overland... Live by Salt Lake and wheel in Moab.... Thanks for sugestions.

I recently changed mine and here is what I remember....

Currie will be your biggest and most expensive. One disadvantage...you'll have to use Curre TRE if you break one. But they are burly!!

Rock Krawler and Synergy will be less expensive, but close in price. Both have both good and bad reviews. I believe RK uses factory Draglink ends while Synergy has their own ends. RK cannot be adjusted on the jeep (i.e. you'll need to remove one end to adjust your toe-in), not sure about Synergy. I believe there is a write up on here or project JK.

Your stock SS bracket will not fit. I believe RK comes with one. Curre does not, nor does Synergy I believe.

You'll hear people rave and ridicule each based on what they bought or have heard.

I went with Currie just because it looks like the biggest and best. Haven't beat on it enough to say whether it is worth the extra cost.

The above was written from memory and should only be taken as my :twocents:

Good luck!

Good info MTG! Those are the three I have looked at but haven't researched. I will take all that in...

I want to be able to adjust and don't mind buying "their" ends who ever I choose. I thought I had seen one from Gen R. Not sure about the aluminum?

Can anyone comment on that one?

Yup. What he said. Currie is by far the best.

I bought the synergy tie rod and used my stock ss bracket. It's taken a few good hits so far and its holding up pretty good.

Yea I read that. Was just hoping someone had some experience trying them with different back spacing. I guess I'll be looking into a different tie rod.

Im using the Ruff Stuff tie rod. If you can weld its a great/cheap way to go. Ive had the whole front weight of the JKU on it on rocks and it hasnt bent.
