Broken Tire Carrier Bolt

I was installing my EVO tire carrier today on my JL with my son and as he was tightening up the bolts that attach the hinge to the body, he snapped the head right off of it and the threaded portion is still screwed on.

The two hinges uses 3 bolts each and one of the 6 no longer has the head.

Any thoughts on getting this out or am I sol?

If so, what have you guys used in the past to removed the broken bolt?

Please advise.

If it snapped off flush I'd probably try to use an EZ-out.

FYI

torque values for those is 21 foot pounds

13 for the 8 tire carrier bolts, and 35 for the 4 bigger ones that hold the hinge to the tailgate.

Took me 4 hours to;
Remove the factory carrier
Assemble the EVO carrier
Install the new carrier
Tweet and make adjustments

It also took me 4 hours to;
Remove a snapped bolt!

Thanks for the heads up on torque values I wish EVO would include that in the instructions. They include a generic torque values for a range of bolts but I’m a total newb and don’t know what size the bolts are.

I’ll make sure to tighten everything up again once I get the new bolt from the hardware store tomorrow.
